Campania
Campania
Campania borders with Lazio and is on the shin of the boot leg. Chaotic Naples is the capital city which is the birth place of Pizza. Campania is famous for the best pizza in the world so it is a must see simply to indulge in a margarita pizza.
With their lazy siestas, blue waters and warm sun, one feels like they could be a million miles from business like Milan.
The Main towns in Campania are Naples, Amalfi, Agropoli, Avellino, Benevento, Caserta, Gallo Matese, Maiori, Massa Lubrense, Positano, Praiano, Salerno and Sorrento.
Attractions include the Roman archaeological sites (Pompeii) and Herculaneum (Ercolaneo). There is the volcano of Mount Vesuvius, the Greek temples at Paestum, the Amalfi Coast the Cave of the Sibyl at Cumae, and then off shore in the Bay of Naples, the islands of Capri and Ischia.
The Amalfi Coast is said to be by many people around the world to be the most beautiful stretch of coastline in Europe. We agree. With the picturesque villages built in to the coast line and the colourful houses overlooking the blue sea, and lemon groves’ sloping down to the ocean, The Amalfi coast is not to be missed on your trip to Italy. With towns such as Positiano Amalfi and Ravello, a week is almost not long enough in this little corner of paradise. Limoncello, pressed from the ubiquitous citrus fruit is the choice of alcohol in this region.
Italian Villa Vacations has one of the most famous properties for rent in this region called La Torre where artist Pablo Picasso met his wife. La Torre is only accessible by boat and it has its own private beach access. This is a very exclusive rental and it is only available throughout certain times of the year.
Off shore there is Capri, which is famous for the Blue Grotto and the Villa Jovis. We also have some lovely apartments available for rent on Capri.
Neighbouring Ischia island is stunning, and has a thermal spa resort in Casamicciola Terme and some beautiful gardens. Italian Villa Vacations offers spectacular apartments available for rent in the most historical and medieval Aragonese Castle.

Capri Island
Capri is not at all a sandy beach resort, but rather an enormous, jagged rock, upon which generations of locals and visitors have been inspired to celebrate the joy of living. Capri is reached by regular hydrofoils parting from Naples and docking at the island's Marina Grande
Take a chair lift up to the top of Solaro to enjoy views over the whole island.
Ischia Island
The typically Mediterranean climate of Ischia is dry and warm, with temperatures sometimes reaching 35° during the months of July and August. Dominated by Mount Epomeo (789 mt.asl), the island is scattered with many other hilly features, often separated by valleys and gullies that create a suggestive and sinuous landscape and is enriched with both chestnut and oak woods and low vegetation.
